Who is WestSwim?
WestSwim is a business unit of the Western Australian Swimming Association Inc (Swimming WA). The Association was formed in 1902 and is the peak body for swimming in Western Australia. The not-for-profit Association represents eighty-five (85) Clubs across the State with 12,323 Members. Swimming WA is a member of Swimming Australia and responsible for all organised swimming (recreational and competitive) across the State.
WestSwim operates Learn to Swim and Squad programmes at Lakelands Swim School and Craigie Leisure Centre.
What is the WestSwim training schedule?
Swimming WA’s proposal was accepted by the City of Joondalup and Lakelands Swim School with suitable lanes allocated to operate a high quality squad and swim fit programme.
What will the WestSwim coaching structure look like?
The coaches will be employed by Swimming WA and Breakers Swimming Club.
When will enrolments open and how can I enrol into the programmes?
Enrolments for the WestSwim programme is open and we are continuously enrolling swimmers. Please call the WestSwim team with any questions.
Enrolments are made through WestSwim’s online portal, Udio. Upon signing into the portal, pricing will be available. Alternatively call the WestSwim team for any clarification.
How do I pay for WestSwim programmes fees?
Payments will be processed fortnightly. When you enrol into the WestSwim programmes, our team will gather the information required for the monthly payments and ensure you’re provided with our payment terms and conditions.
Is the City of Joondalup involved in delivery of the Craigie WestSwim programme?
No, Swimming WA and Breakers Swimming Club delivers these programmes and employs all staff. Participants will need to purchase a facility access from the Leisure Centres to gain access to the aquatic facility for their training. The City of Joondalup Leisure Centres will provide this information.
